Canvas & Quill

I wish you to know the fire that attempts to burn my soul and I'll pray you shield me from the fire’s scold.

About Us
This blog was born on the idea of becoming the manual for the soul of creativity that is inside of every one of us. The kind you read at 3am, the time where artists are awake with their heads deep into a book, with their eyes and cheeks red while reading a fanfiction. Or the writers, scribbling their ideas onto the little notebook that lays besides their nightable or fantazising over the art they saw at their local museum. So grab a coffee and your favourite snacks for this is the safe space for you! Find blogs centered around writing and art, with poems, short stories, articles, debates, paintings, statues, and so much more! A real virtual museum all in one!
All artist share the same fire in their soul, that is responsible for our longing to create and be heard, understood.
We share a connection that goes beyond us, that if nurtured can become strong as a hurricane, as the tides on a full moon, as earthquakes in Chile, as nature itself. Because that is our nature, that is what makes us a passionate reader, an avid dancer, a joyful painter, an incredible musician, a writer, an artist, a creative.
There is something that was born inside of us, something special that we must take care of, because that thing is the soul of creation and creativity.
It's okay if you don't want to become an artist, because that life is not for everyone. But if you're here it's either because you are an artist or you aren't but don't want to lose that part of yourself. And to that we say with good meassure! Please never lose this creative soul inside of you, even if there are more hardships in it than other more stable, easier and reliable jobs and /or hobbies.
For what are cavemen without their drawings; what is Egypt without its hieroglyphs; what is the Church without the Sixteen Chapel; what is a King without his portraits; what is God without the Bible; what is Mozart without music; what is humanity without art. Nothing. There would be no us, no history, no joy without artists. Even God is an artist Himself for He created the World and us in His image.
So please don't loose that creativity, don't give up on it, don't overshadow it, don't leave it aside. Instead nurture it, understand it better, care for it, let it free.
And how can you do that? Being a part of this blog.
Because here we will take care of you, our dear artist. Here we will make a safe haven for you to let your creativity run free and learn how to do it. Here we will post not only book recommendations or the poem or story of the moth to nurture your reader's/writer's heart, or shower you with memes to make your soul feel joy, but also this blog is for us, your dearest hosts, to post essays, articles, manuals or how to's, ideas, instructions, our own creations, and so much more for your creative soul to be happy, nurtured, taken care of, and keep you updated with the creative world; because like we said, all of us creatives share the same soul.
So tell your friends that could enjoy this as well, to join our Canvas & Quill Family and be part of this growing community that is being born!
